As Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) completed its 40 years, it recommits to fostering a conducive and supportive environment for civil society and non-profits to continue as well as re-engage in cutting-edge innovations.PRIA in collaboration with the Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy, Ashoka University and The/ Nudge Foundation co-organised a Samvad - Conversation on “Investing in Civil Societyb Innovations” on Thursday, 30 September, 2021.

As Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) completed its 40 years, it brought together multiple stakeholders to learn from practices being developed and followed in community-led adaptation to ensure that the ‘source of life’ – water – is regenerated for the future. PRIA’s samvad-conversation on “Community-led Adaptation: Water Is Life” was held on October 1, 2021  co-convened in partnership with the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), Dhaka, Bangladesh and UNNATI - Organisation of Development Education, Ahmedabad.

As Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) approached its 40th Anniversary in February 2022, we co-convened a Digital Symposium on “Inspiring Leadership of Mayors and Councillors for Inclusive Urbanisation” on 6 October 2021, in partnership with National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) and Commonwealth Local Governance Forum (CLGF).

PRIA in collaboration with PRAXIS and Participedia co-organised a virtual Samvad – Conversation on “Trajectories of Participation: From Development to Governance” on 12 October 2021.

As Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) completed 40 years, a Samvad – Conversation on “Scaling-up Citizen Engagement for Inclusive Urban Governance” was held on 20th October 2021.

Ahead of PRIA’s fortieth-anniversary celebrations, a Samvad conversation on Gender-Transformational Organisational Renewal: Towards Gender Equality was held on 01 November 2021, organised in partnership with UN Women and Martha Farrell Foundation.

PRIA co-convened a conversation (samvad) on "Participation, Representation & Accountability: Strengthening the Movement" in partnership with APMAS (Hyderabad) and International Cooperative Alliance Domus Trust (India) on 17th November 2021.

As Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) completed its 40th Anniversary, a conversation about issues related to prevailing and best practices and prospects of Impact Measurement was convened by PRIA in partnership with Impact and Policy Research Institute (IMPRI), India, titled "Making A Difference: Adapting Impact Measurement" on 23 November 2021.

A digital conversation on “Young Scientists Learning Open Science” was convened on 25 November 2021 in partnership with UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education, DST-Centre for Policy Research, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance to discuss the implications of the UNESCO Recommendation on Science and Scientific Researchers, the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, Science with & for society, and the Government of India’s STI Policy.

As PRIA completed 40 years in February 2022, we organised a series of PRIA@40 Conversations. As part of these conversations as well as the recent research initiative, PRIA in partnership with Civis, India, and ICNL organised a Virtual Roundtable Discussion on “Institutionalising Online Citizen Participation in Public Policymaking in India” on Friday, 26 November 2021.
