On 29/12/2020, PRIA International Academy (PIA) had signed an MoU with Gurugram University, Gurugram for establishing research and academic partnership and for strengthening institutional co-operation. The first initiative to benefit from the partnership will be a research study titled ‘Our health; Our voice: participatory research with adolescents in Gurugram’ .

The MoU was signed by Dr. Markanday Ahuja, Vice-Chancellor, Gurugram University and Dr. Rajesh Tandon, President, PRIA.  The university was represented by Dr. Amarjeet Kaur Malhotra, Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management and Principal Investigator (PI) of the study and Dr. Naveen Goyal (Deputy registrar, academics). The delegation from PRIA International Academy  was led by Dr. Kaustuv Kanti Bandyopadhyay, Director (PRIA) and co-investigator of the study, Ms. Nandita Bhatt (Director, Martha Farrell Foundation) and Mr. S. Ram Aravind (Research Associate, PRIA and Project coordinator).

As part of the agreement, PIA will partner with Gurugram University to establish a framework for academic, research and institutional cooperation. The aim of the partnership is expected to bolster university- community engagement. Under the research study, the university students will be placed as interns in field-based projects and community engagement activities. Going ahead, PIA and GU will explore and invite each others’ staff faculties to undertake teaching in joint academic training initiatives.
