State Finance Commission in SIkkim
Sixth State Finance Commission, Sikkim engaged PRIA Educational Trust as a technical support agency to provide support to the SFC in the generation and analysis of appropriate data to arrive at suitable recommendations. PRIA has developed data formats and questionnaires for the compilation and analysis of data from various governmental departments and other sources. This will be followed by several important stakeholder meetings to seek their input and suggestions for the preparation of the report. The identified stakeholders include Members of past State Finance Commissions, officials and elected representatives of Urban local bodies and panchayats, State level officials of Urban Development & Housing dept, Rural Development and Panchayat department, Finance dept, SIRD and Skill Development Department, CSR Representatives and officials of Commerce and Industries department, Representatives of Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
