Objectives
To create grounds in institutions of governance where women’s leadership is seen as legitimate and valued. Where women are accepted as effective leaders and are not just tolerated.
Geographical spread
The study covered women representatives from 5 Gram Panchayats of Padmanabham Mandal (Vishakhapatnam district) and ward corporators in Visakhapatnam municipal corporation and ward councillors in Anakapalli muncipality and mayor and chairperson
The study covered a total of 100 respondents (5 women elected representatives, 2 women mayors and chairperson, 33 ward members and 60 other key stakeholders).
