This project aimed to provide sensitization/training and capacity building of PRI members on gender issues, i.e., Gender Budgeting, Gender Audit, and its importance in Human Development Issues as one of the major components.
 

Objectives:

  1. To provide sensitization/training and capacity building of PRI members on Gender Issues i.e. Gender Budgeting, Gender Audit, and its importance in Human Development Issues as one of the major components

Geographical Spread:

  1. 8 Districts of Chhattisgarh (Phase I & II)
  2. Koriya, Sarguja, Korba, Jashpur, Janjgir-Champa, Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund and Kanker - Phase I
  3. Raipur, Bilaspur, Bastar, Dhamtari, Kawardha, Dantewada, Raigarh – Phase II

Key areas/components:

  1. To prepare detailed training plan and methodology on how the PRI elected representative are effectively sensitized / trained in matter related to Gender Budgeting / audit etc detailing the timeline.
  2. To prepare training material, tool kit and feedback form to be provided to the participants in the training.
  3. Training provided at 8 Districts including all members of Zila Panchayat, 79 Blocks covering all the elected PRI members of Janpad Panchayats and not less than 2 PRI members from each Gram Panchayat under the block.
  4. Submission of periodic report as designed/decided by CG-HDRCU covering physical, financial and technical progress made. This shall include the feedback received from the participants and its analysis.
  5. To Prepare a detail follow-up plan after completion of the assignment how to track the impact of the training, details district wise documentation with suggestive measure where required.
  6. To provide detail district wise report on the Gender budgeting and Gender auditing issue discuss/consider/implemented in planning and budgeting process of any programme/project at all the three levels of Panchayats after the training. This should include the requirements of gender-disaggregated data sought by members of PRIs and incidences of compilation of gender disaggregated data at all the three levels of PRIs.
  7. To Prepare proper documentation of those training programmes so that, in future if required other departments can use those documents for training of PRI members.

Key outputs:

  1. Successful completion of Gram Panchayat level training, a detail report on the trainings indicating the participants view and impact / monitoring process along with CEO, J.P. certification
  2. Successful completion of Zila and Janpad Panchayat level training, a detail report on the trainings conducted by the Consultant indicating the participants view and impact / monitoring process
  3. Satisfactory completion of follow up process and submission of follow up report.
