Sensitization Workshops on Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace for Airports Authority of India


Building on its experience in mainstreaming gender in institutions and raising awareness on the issue of prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace, PRIA was invited to conduct sensitization workshops for all levels of staff at the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

  • Defining the workplace and understanding the varied dimensions of misconduct with in the workplace of AAI.

  • Building a common understanding on sexual harassment as defined by the Supreme Court of India.

  • Understanding of AAI’s strategy for the prevention and redressal of sexual harassment in their workplace.

AAI regional offices in Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai

  • Conducting trainings for all levels of staff, men and women, in 2 regional offices.

  • Raising understanding of the workplace as defined by AAI

  • Understanding misconduct/penalties as defined by AAI

  • Conceptual clarity on sexual harassment

  • Supreme Court/Vishakha Guidelines in the context of sexual harassment at workplace

  • Prevention and redressal of sexual harassment at workplace as per AAI policy

77 training workshop conducted in Chennai and Kolkata. In addition, 3 workshops were conducted in Delhi.
