Objectives

To prepare gram panchayat-wise (including all the habitations) micro plan for a particular block under the project area of Chhattisgarh District Poverty Reduction Project (CGDPRP) for a minimum period of 5 years

Geographical spread

50 gram panchayats, Ambagarh Chowki, Rajnandgaon district, Chhattisgarh

Key areas/components

To prepare ‘wealth ranking’ for all habitations of the gram panchayat, using the method prescribed by the State Planning and Monitoring Unit (SPMU)
Collection of primary village data through Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA)
Collection of village secondary data relevant for micro planning
Ensuring the participation of the functionaries of the panchayati raj system
Document process and outputs of the PRA exercise
Identify the resources available, measures for utilization of the resources, existing skill sets and need for capacity building, etc
Preparing a SWOT analysis of the village.
Preparing gram panchayat-wise report in Hindi and getting it approved by the gram sabha
Prepare and present the micro plan in publishable form

Key outputs

Final reports after incorporating the comments of SPMU and respective gram panchayat and block officials
