This project provided technical support to municipalities in the states of Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for preparing Detailed Project Reports on Solid Waste Management.
Objectives:
To provide technical support to municipalities in the states of Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for preparing Detailed Project Reports on Solid Waste Management under the Urban Infrastructure Development for Small and Medium Towns (UIDSSMT).
Geographical Spread:
Karauli and Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan, Janjgir in Chhattisgarh, Gopeshwar in Uttarakhand and Kangra and Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh
Key areas/components:
- Assessment of infrastructure gaps in relation to solid waste management
- Organizing consultations with citizens and other stakeholders to assess their demands and capture suggestions
Key outputs:
- Preparation of technical and financial plans
- Sharing of plans with all stakeholder groups
