To understand the constitution of Village Education Committees (VECs), awareness about their role, their linkages with the Panchayati Raj Institutions, perceptions of priorities of the DPEP programme- feedback as obtained from various VECs

To understand the various training systems developed and the channels of information dissemination

128 VECs in 16 district in 7 states of India ( Assam, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra)
