The programme offered financial assistance to selected Fellows in order to support their developmental efforts, along with relevant capacity building inputs to help them evolve into autonomous and sustainable voluntary organisations.
Geographical Spread:
The MIND fellowship programme was implemented in 5 states namely, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand

Mandatory thrust on covering a minimum number of women, dalits and tribals

Non-insistence on the formation of CSOs by fellows

Two categories of fellows to be supported – citizen leaders and civil society groups

Training inputs based on experiential reality of the groups
