This project was an effort to organize and facilitate discussion in consultation workshops on the relative advantages and disadvantages of the existing methodologies related to citizen and civil society monitoring of development outcomes.
Objectives:

To study, document and analyze the existing methodologies of citizen and civil society monitoring of development outcomes based on selected aspects.

To organize and facilitate discussion in consultation workshop on the relative advantages & disadvantages of the existing methodologies related to citizen & civil society monitoring of development outcomes.

To propose an integrated methodology (including tools & techniques) for monitoring & evaluation of MDGs at the local level (district and below).

Review of the existing citizen monitoring tools: Desk review, E-consultation, Personal interview with key experts.

National Stakeholders’ consultation: To fine tune the tools for facilitating MDGs tracking at the local level.
Key outputs:

Preparation of the Resource Book: A composite tool for tracking the progress of MDG at local level & a guidebook to ensure appropriate use of the tool in field.
