The project aims at understanding the broad development scenario of Jharkhand and the voluntary organization scenario in the state and obtain the provider’s perspectives on capacity building.
Objectives:

To understand the broad development scenario of Jharkhand;

Understand the voluntary organization scenario in the state especially uncovering the history of Voluntary sector, role of voluntary organizations in recent years, their contribution in the development process, overall strength & weakness analysis & capacity requirements of voluntary organizations.

To obtain the provider’s perspectives (donors, international voluntary organizations & other providers) on capacity building, their priority vis-à-vis sector & at what levels and with what approaches/methods.

Identified the capacity building issues of Jharkhand and future capacity building needs of VDOs, providers & networks in Jharkhand.

Suggested future strategies in capacity building and identified the challenges that lie ahead.
