Capacity Building of Women Elected Representatives of Urban Local Bodies of Rajasthan and Haryana

Objectives

To facilitate effective functioning of women elected councilors and to help form state level networks.

Geographical spread

The project covered 12 urban local bodies in Haryana and 18 urban local bodies in Rajasthan

• Training of 300 women elected councillors
• Preparation of training modules and learning materials
• Organizing and facilitating training workshops
• Facilitating exposure visits to learn from best practices on urban governance

Key outputs

A total of 300 women elected representatives participated in the project. The intervention provided a platform to share challenges they face as women councillors and to learn from each other.
