This project tried to provide a platform to exchange experiences and share tools/ resources and methodologies on local level gender budgeting and increase capacity to better monitor and influence public expenditure at local level.

Objectives:

This study entailed examining in detail Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) initiatives in India. The objectives were:
Mapping local level decision-making structures to provide an overview and context for GRB – (looking at resources available at local level and power of local government authorities’ vis-à-vis national government).
