Dr. Tandon started his session in a nice way. Since the monsoon is here in Delhi, he just asked the weather in delhi.  On continuing, he added that there are always two ways of comparison on our situations such as  pleasant or unpleasant, Tired or active and happy or unhappy.

Let everyone start doing comparison from today….. This is one type of analysis. To collect the data or research:   we ask questions (Research), Observe and by doing in the field.  We collect the data by all above methods as well as through  all senses: by seeing, smelling and hearing. He had given a set of examples  from the four ongoing  studies in PRIA under different projects.  It has been advised to everyone to analyse these and discussed within ourselves that why Number/Theory/different style of data is required in each analysis.

When we say that the purpose of analysis is to seek the “Truth”, it must have finding conclusions and proposal or suggestion for solutions/ recommendations. He also suggested that there is a need and importance to develop a habit of recording information/data.

Dr. Tandon, further spoke about PRIA’s very own theory of change: Participation/ Governance/Democracy/ Empowerment. Further he described that these points sound as  Participation : ability to collectivisation, Voice: Voice of Individual/Collective, Speaking against and for, Speaking at venues, platforms –structure available so that it could be listened. Governance: It consists-Laws, Policies, Procedures Constitutions and finally, Institutions.

Workshop was very exciting/interactive. Total number of participants 16 attended the workshop.
