Visit of MSU Delegation to India

A delegation from  Michigan State University, consisting of 10 students and 1 faculty member, undertook a visit to PRIA as part of the "Diversity Leadership" program. This initiative aimed to cultivate leadership skills among students belonging to marginalised identity groups, with a particular focus on women of color. The objective of the visit was to encourage more individuals from such backgrounds to assume leadership roles within governmental and civil society organisations, while comprehending the significance of engaging with the government for civic activism and advancing participatory democracy.

Within the framework of the program with PRIA, students embarked on visits to various urban and rural areas to observe interventions related to community mobilisation, institution-building, governance, and youth empowerment, with a specific emphasis on gender and other forms of marginalisation, as well as participation and leadership.
