On 13 February, PRIA welcomed a delegation from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), comprising Ms. Maggie Gorman Velez (Vice-President, Strategy, Regions and Policy), Mr. Arjan de Haan (Senior Program Specialist), Mr. Kapil Kapoor (Regional Director, Asia), Ms. Kanika Jha Kingra (Knowledge Sharing Advisor), and Mr. Vikas Kumar (Regional Advisor, Asia), for an engaging and insightful dialogue.
The meeting began with Dr. Rajesh Tandon sharing reflections on PRIA's institutional journey and its commitment to participatory development. The team then presented key initiatives, including community-led water body rejuvenation efforts in Rajasthan and approaches to strengthening long-term community engagement.
The discussion also highlighted learnings from the MobiliseHER project, focusing on the challenges young women face in digital spaces and the use of participatory and arts-based methodologies to foster safer and more inclusive online environments.
Representatives from the Martha Farrell Foundation shared their work with domestic workers to strengthen awareness and implementation of the POSH Act, while promoting accountability and accessible redressal mechanisms.
The visit concluded with a meaningful exchange of ideas on advancing community-centred development, knowledge sharing, and collaborative approaches to creating sustainable social impact.
