A training programme is being organised to build capacity development of State facilitators on Integrating gender issues and concerns in district planning, which is funded by UNDP. This five day    training programme (27th April to 1st May 2015) is being facilitated by Odisha government state planning department along with the UNDP. Dr Martha Farrell, Dr Alok Pandey and Mr Amitabh Bhushan from PRIA are the resource person for the gender training programme.

The main objectives of the training are:

• To refresh principles and application of local level decentralised planning
• To acquire understanding of the dynamics of gender mainstreaming in local level decentralised planning
• To acquire practical skills in facilitating the learning of district and sub district officials in mainstreaming gender in decentralised planning
