Third Party Facilitator Training in Lucknow

In partnership with The Martha Farrell Foundation, PRIA kicked off its national level training program that trains and certifies third party facilitators for internal complaints committees and local complaints committees.

The first PRIA–Martha Farrell Foundation Open Forum was held on 2 September 2015 in Lucknow in collaboration with Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra. A batch of 21 participants comprising development professionals, lawyers and academicians enrolled in an Online Training Course to understand the law. The face-to-face training for this batch was held on 27 and 28 October 2015 in Lucknow.

The first of its kind in India, this niche training program will meet the training needs and capacity building challenges on the issue of prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace. The program envisages that a pool of third party representatives are available for the effective functioning of internal and local complaints committees in every district, block and national level organization. The training makes use of innovative participatory methodologies and has been carefully planned keeping in mind the learning needs and requirements of working professionals of today who wish to enhance their skills and capacities on the issue of prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace.
