On 20th April 2019, Dr. Rajesh Tandon, (Founder-President of Participatory Research in Asia and Co-chair, UNESCO Chair on Community Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education) will be delivering the keynote speech at Azim Premji University, Bangalore as part of the "Stories of Change: Case Study Challenge" The event is an attempt by the university to facilitate and recognise writings on good practices of social change from actual practitioners, academics, students, as well as others. Prominent examples from the field by civil society organisations will also be showcased and discussed, thus allowing the viewer to get a broader perspective about the solutions identified to achieve the change they want to achieve.
The speech will speak about the subtle yet vital part link between Universities and Civil Societies, and how universities can contribute to bringing about meaningful change in the environment they share, and the underlying philosophy that needs to be adopted while doing so.
