Pre-Election Political Awareness Campaign (PEPAC) in Bihar

As a part of its Pre-Election Political Awareness Campaign (PEPAC) for urban governance and urban poverty, PRIA along with its partner organization organized a commissionerate level consultation on 21 February 2014 at Gandhi Ashram, Gaya, Bihar. The consultation witnessed participation of representatives from various political parties, including the BJP, RJD, AAP, JD(U) and Anushuchit Jati Morcha along with elected representatives from urban local bodies, CSOs, academia, slum improvement committee members and media houses. The discussions and deliberations in the consultation revolved around the initiatives being promised by political parties around the issues of urban poverty and urban governance in their manifestos for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
