This International conference was hosted by India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, and was supported by the Pune Knowledge Cluster(PKC), Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University (SGT University), CODATA – Committee on Data of the International Science Council (ISC), and Open Health Systems Laboratory (OHSL) as Knowledge Partners and with assistance from Indian National Science Academy (INSA) which is an adhering body to International Science Council (ISC) on behalf of the Government of India.

The conference primarily included sessions on open science and open data, FAIR, research data management, data ethics, data licensing, data stewardship, data science education and training, data research infrastructures, and data platform. Discussions at the conference wree focused on identifying aspects of Data Science that will leverage the rapidly evolving digital ecosystem and understanding existing impediments in some of the major socio-economically relevant disciplines.

The sessions were led by experts; active participation by young enthusiasts was encouraged. The aim was to encourage innovative partnerships for addressing future challenges in the field.

Dr. Pragya Chaube, India Co-Ordinator of UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education, attended this session.
