On 11 October 2017, elected members and officials of the Northern Provincial Council based in Jaffna visited PRIA Head Office to learn what PRIA has accomplished, from advocacy to action, design and implementation, using participatory approaches.

The delegation interacted with senior staff from PRIA, understanding the deep history of PRIA's experience in strengthening panchayati raj institutions, capacity building of elected representatives (in particular women elected representatives), participatory planning around water, sanitation and health, and current initiatives to engage youth in raising voice on issues affecting their communities. In the two-hour discussion, the delegates learnt about how provincial and local government and councillors can engage with people.

The delegation was on a learning mission to India between 9 and 13 October 2017 coordinated by Jindal School of Government and Policy, O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat, Haryana. Jindal Global University has associated with PRIA on Kadam Badhate Chalo campaign in Haryana.
