PRIA, and its partners organised a Signature campaign on International Day of Democracy, September 15; eliciting young voices and opinions on ‘what democracy in everyday life means to them’. Youth across several states such as Delhi; Panipat, Haryana; Jaipur & Ajmer, Rajasthan; Muzaffarpur, Bihar; Lucknow, Varanasi & Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh; Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh; Raipur, Chhattisgarh; Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Ramghar in Jharkhand engaged in this signature campaign. In Delhi, the Signature campaign was conducted at Ambedkar University & two campuses of New Delhi Institute of Management. This saw the participation from nearby institutions such as the Centre for Science & Environment (CSE) & PRAYAS-Institute of Juvenile Justice. Partnering PRIA in the initiative yesterday at various locations were Sahbhagi Shikshan Sansthan (SSK), Lucknow; Samarthan, Bhopal; Margshree Charitable Trust (MCT), Jhansi & Srijan Foundation, Ranchi.

Face to face reach for the campaign was 3100 youths across 10 locations. 

There was a massive social media campaign by PRIA & its teams at all locations, on Twitter and Facebook. Social media posts topped the charts on the international day of democracy Twitter handle. The posts received 7500 impressions in 24 hours.

The event saw a huge increase in the number of followers on the Youth N Democracy Facebook page. Youth also engaged in clicking selfies with their messages, and posted it on social media.
