This was a very unique programme conducted in PRIA, for the first time in its history!
This was planned in such a way that it will celebrate the spirit of the youth and engage with what ‘Safe Spaces’ mean to the them.
Also, it created a programme, mostly attended by youth, that too girls from the various ends of society including PRIA staff and college students was really a wonderful one.
This was part of PRIA’s Youth n Democracy campaign and was around 20 young poets from outside participated. The attempt was to open up a discussion about the different ideas, perceptions and experiences of safe spaces. The poems/verses will encircle but were not limited to the: What is a safe/unsafe space for you?, How do you experience spaces in India?
