Address at Open Society Forum

 

Dr Rajesh Tandon was invited by Open Society Foundation to address its internal staff seminar on 'Civil Society and its Discontents' held at Budapest on 12-13 June 2012. The presentation made by Dr Tandon emphasized the significance of informal citizen action groups and their challenges. Issues of democratic accountability, role of markets and states in violating basic human rights, and the significance of OSF working in the Asian region were discussed in his session.
