Condolence meetings were organized at PRIA Head Office and Field Offices during the weekend and a few more are to be held this week. Dr Martha Farrell's mortal remains were brought to PRIA Head Office at Tughlakabad Institutional Area which was attended by friends and colleagues in large numbers. People eagerly waited till late in the evening for her mortal remains to arrive so that they can have a last glimpse of their beloved friend and pay homage to her. Condolence messages are also pouring in through mails, sms and social media in large numbers speaking volume about the love and respect commanded by Dr Farrell among friends and colleagues.

PRIA Field Office - Patna

A condolence meeting was organised at PRIA Bihar to pay homage to the departed soul.  Mr. Amitabh Bhushan of PRIA shared the unfortunate incident which happened at Kabul, Afghanistan on 13th Of May 2015 in which Senior Colleague Dr. Martha Farell lost her life.

Dr. B K Sinha  of Cencored said that he has been associated with PRIA since it was formed and said that Dr. Martha Farrell was a great source of inspiration for all of us she was an energetic person who has made a major contribution in taking the institution forward. At this moment he can only pray to god to rest the departed soul in peace and give strength to Dr. Rajesh Tandon , president PRIA and his family  in this tough time.

Mrs. Indu Sinha of PRIA, shared that she Knew Dr. Martha Farrell  when she was working with ANKUR. before joining PRIA.  They had first met at Jaipur when she was very young and unmarried but nowhere less in her dynamic personality. She has made a lot of contribution to PRIA not only thematically but also in the management affairs of the organisation.

Mr. Chandra Bhushan of Abhiyan sharing his thoughts said that first of all I  pay my homage to the departed soul &  pray to almighty to rest her soul in peace. He said that in recent years there has been series of attacks on social activist to stop us from our work of social transformation. We strongly condemn these attacks on social activists and we want to give them a clear message that we accept this challenge and will continue to work on the path of social development.

Then a two minutes of silence was observed for the departed soul with which the meeting came to close.

Condolence cum prayer meeting for Dr. Martha Farrell was held at PRIA/SSK Ranchi office. Around 17 people from social development sector, have participated in this meeting and expressed their gracious words for Martha mam, her family and PRIA team.

 Raipur

On 18th May 2015, a condolence meeting was held at Raipur Office as a tribute to Dr. Martha Farrell.
