Position          :            Media and Communication Officer

Location         :            Head Office, New Delhi

Closing Date    :             June 04, 2017 (Due to urgent requirement closing date may end sooner if a suitable

Applications are invited from middle level professionals having more than 3 years of experience for its Head Office in New Delhi.


Key responsibilities
:

  • Develop a communication strategy for PRIA.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relations with press and other media for communicating PRIA’s work.
  • Follow-up of all media related work; Identify and support state-level media retainers.
  • Coordination of media campaigns.
  • Developing and maintaining corporate partners for promotional activities.
  • Newsletters: Produce News letters in English and local language in coordination with programme staff for collation and preparation of content selection, distribution.
  • Managing dissemination of information in social media with regular updates on Face Book, Twitter, Web site, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.
  • Producing periodic reports and manuals.
  • Other tasks as assigned from time to time.


Qualifications
:

  • Graduate in Communication/ Journalism/Media.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, and Hindi. Knowledge of other regional languages will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in print and electronic media.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

  • Initial appointment on contract for 1 year.

Position: Program Officer & Senior Programme Officer

Location: Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy and Vijayawada

Applications are invited from professionals having 3-5 years’ experience for its Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy and Vijayawada Offices.

Required Qualifications and Experiences:

  • A master’s or other post-graduate degree in a sociology/natural resource management/ environmental studies/social work/or any other relevant field with experience of 3 to 5 years.
  • Practical skills and experiences of works in Social research methods, Water and Sanitation, Community participation, Gender Mainstreaming, Capacity Building and Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Experience of working in the areas of Water and Sanitation, Rural/Urban planning & development, is a must.
  • In-depth understanding of the policies and programs related to Water and Sanitation.
  • Ingrained research and analytical skills
  • Experience of working with Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies.
  • Experience of working with government, media and academia.
  • Should be capable to work at multiple levels and with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good analytical writing and oral communication in English, Telugu and Hindi.
  • Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

  • Initial appointment on a contract for 1 year, extendable for longer period on the basis of performance reviews.

Position: Director, PRIA International Academy.

Location: Head Office, New Delhi.
PRIA International Academy (PIA), is founded by PRIA (Participatory Research in Asia) a Global Participatory Research and Training Centre, under the Chairmanship of Dr. Rajesh Tandon, is looking for a Director. Applications are invited from middle level professionals having more than 10-12 years’ experience especially in education, for its DelhiOffice.
Key responsibilities:

  • The Director is responsible for marketing and increased visibility of PIA.
  • Collaboration with different stakeholders.
  • Quality assurance of the programs offered.
  • Resource mobilisation, for existing and future courses offered.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • M.Phil. / Ph.D. (preferable).
  • A Master’s Degree in Education with 10-12 years of experience
  • Candidates who are experienced in managing large institutes of higher education/college will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of working with government, media and academia.
  • Should be capable to work at multiple levels and with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good analytical writing and oral communication in Hindi and English. Knowledge of any other vernacular/foreign language will be an added advantage.
  • Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

Position: Senior Programme Officers (Urban).

Location: Jhansi, Muzaffarpur, Ajmer and New Delhi.

 

Applications are invited from middle level professionals having 3-5 years’ of experience for PRIA’s Field offices (Jhansi, Muzaffarpur, Ajmer) and Head Office (New Delhi).

 

Required qualifications and experiences:

 

  • A master’s or other post-graduate degree in urban planning/ geography / social science or relevant field with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience of working in urban water and sanitation, urban planning/development.
  • Experience in social research techniques with knowledge of basic statistical analysis.
  • Excellent skills in collection, collation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data from field and secondary documents.
  • Excellent skills in analytical writing and oral communication in English and Hindi.
  • Excellent skills in designing and facilitating capacity building events, training and workshops.
  • Experience in networking, liaising with government officials, media persons and academicians.
  •  Demonstrable application skills in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
