Women domestic workers gathered at the PRIA office to celebrate their journey with one another and with us. On January 7, 2022, the women of the group took time off from their jobs to visit the PRIA office.

Farm2U is one of the consortium partners along with Women on wings and PRIA. Farm2U works with women farmers with focus to their entrepreneurial development.

After needs assessment survey, visioning exercises, Focused group discussions and self-lead meetings by the women group on alternative job opportunities and business plan, they finally developed a plan for running the business.

Domestic work is not recognized with so much of dignity and respect. Over 94 percent of India's working population is part of the unorganised sector, 50% of which are women. Domestic workers comprise a significant part of the workforce in informal employment and are among the most vulnerable groups of workers.

The fourth session with women domestic workers under the Sapne Mere Bhavishya Mera program was held on 6th August 2021. A total of 31 women domestic workers attended the session. After the deep conversation on violence last week, women domestic workers were curious to know how they can fight back if any incidence of violence happens.

The third session for women domestic workers under the Sapne Mere Bhavishya Mera program was held on 30th July 2021, in Harijan Basti, Gurugram. There were 36 women domestic workers and 2 adolescents who participated.

A participatory learning session on Understanding Sex and Gender was held with 43 women domestic workers and 7 adolescent girls in Harijan Basti, Gurugram on 16 July 2021. The objective of the session was to build practical understanding on the term sex (prakartik ling) and gender (samajik ling) so that gender stereotypes and gender roles can be analysed and demystified.
