UNESCO Co-Chairs Attend EnRRICH Advisory Council Meeting

Drs Budd Hall and Rajesh Tandon, UNESCO Co-Chairs, attended the Advisory Council meeting of EnRRICH project in Dublin June 20-21, 2016 held at Dublin Institute of Technology. This project brings 13 universities of Europe to work together to design curriculum for integrating Responsive Research and Innovation (RRI). Several members of this consortium have used participatory research training of students to promote stakeholder inputs in research and teaching. Dr Hall focused his comments on creating a stronger link between their practical work and global discourse on knowledge democracy. Dr Tandon suggested that project activities, in particular, use of participatory research, could be institutionalized in these universities by creating incentives and structures across disciplines.
