Adult Education projects

Adult learning, or adult education, is the practice of training and developing skills in adults. It is also often referred to as andragogy (the art and science of helping adults learn). Today, teaching adults is seen as a powerful tool that can bring about fundamental social, political and economic change. In a rapidly changing world, adult education has been envisaged as integrated lifelong learning programmes, which include formal, non-formal and informal learning throughout the lifespan of an individual. PRIA’s work in the field of adult education is to prepare and educate a new generation of professionals based on knowledge syntheses, enhancing professional values and sensitivities and creating lifelong learning orientations among them. PRIA offers educational programmes(www.priaeducation.org) in human and social development themes, drawing from its field experiences, advisory services and extensive research projects. These educational courses are offered in face-to-face and distance modes.
