LIBSYS
The
Library uses Libsys software package,
which is an integrated multi-user
library management system that supports
all in-house operations of the Library.
The Libsys consists of modules on
acquisition, cataloguing, circulation,
serials, article indexing and OPAC
(On line Public Access Catalogue).
User can search the book of its interest
through OPAC. The database of books
available in the Library is being
updated on day-to-day basis with details
of recently acquired books.
GREENSTONE
Greenstone
is a suite of software, which has
the ability to serve digital library
collections and build new collections.
It provides a new way of organising
information and publishing it on the
Internet or on CD-ROM. The information
can be accessed by searching, browsing
by subjects, author, title or according
the date of publication etc. The Greenstone
is being used as a knowledge management
system for PRIA, whereby all material
produced by PRIA is systematised and
stored under defined knowledge categories.
