Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) convened round table meetings of ministers and principal secretaries of all states to develop a consensus roadmap for future strengthening of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) on the basis of latest data on status of PRIs in different states. PRIA provided technical support in organizing these round tables.

Data were validated, supplemented and corrected by seeking relevant information from PRIA's own field areas, from different CSOs

Data were analysed and consolidated to prepare latest fact-sheets on 18 aspects of functioning of PRIs

State specific fact-sheets were then sent to respective state governments for updating and validation
Key outputs:
The fact sheets were presented to group of Ministers in Roundtable. The fact sheets became basis for discussions between Union Ministers and Ministers from states, which resulted into acceptance of 150 joint resolutions (steps) for strengthening of PRIs
