Operationalising Community Information Centre in Haryana
Objectives
To sustain previous interventions of PRIA and develop gram panchayats with village information centres as model gram panchayats through capacity building and trainings.
To develop models of community managed information centres in selected villages in district Sonepat district.

Linkage with youth clubs with focus on youth leadership.
Linking existing youth groups, women’s groups and elected representatives with Krishi Vikas Kendras, banks and district line departments.

Increased awareness level of women clusters, elected representatives and others benefiting from village information centres.
Women’s clusters strengthened to eradicate female foeticide; elected representatives are well aware about their roles, functions, duties, responsibilities and the prevailing operational structure.
Enhanced capacities of women’s clusters and elected representatives and increased knowledge level, skill building and attitude change.
Linkages established at the block, district and state government level.
Promoted formation of networks which have developed as change agents.
