The project, focused on one district of Andhra Pradesh, studied the state of function and position of functionaries in PRIs.

Andhra Pradesh, Mahaboobnagar district selected as the case study, in this district Manajipet Gram Panchayat has been selected under KhilaGhanpurMandal and the MandalParishad and the ZillaParishad are also taken.

The Government Orders (Gos) collected from Panchayat Raj Department and basic information collected from ZillaParishad (ZP), MandalParishad (MP) and Gram Panchayat (GP) offices.

Interviews were conducted with political as well as administrative functionaries from grass roots to district level.
