The project aimed at developing a training course and content related to Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to strengthen decentralised planning in 5 selected districts of Rajasthan.
To develop a training course and modules on content related to MDGs for localising decentralised planning and democratic governance in 5 convergence districts.
To provide training at state, district and block levels.
Five districts – Barmer, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Sirohi and Udaipur – in Rajasthan
Training needs assessment in 5 pilot districts – Barmer, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Sirohi and Udaipur
One-day brainstorming workshop with premier institutions on local governance in Rajasthan, along with CSOs and elected representatives.
Two day trainings for the premier institutions in order to test the content and methodology of the training modules.
Three sets of training modules:
State level module
Five district level modules (separate for each pilot district in order to target the planning process based on the MDG indicators for the district)
Block level module
