This project worked towards developing the understanding of elected representatives on the decentralized planning process in their roles and responsibilities and accountability.
Objectives:

To develop the understanding of elected representatives on the decentralized planning process.

To develop their understanding on their roles and responsibilities and accountability in addressing issues emerging from village planning.

To strengthen institutions and mechanisms of local self governance (Gram Panchyats, Panchyat Samitis and Zila Parishads) in representing their communities, taking up issues/needs emerging from the community with the next level of functionaries of line departments, coordinating with all stakeholders and service providers and following up till the needs are fulfilled.

To follow up with PRIs and assist them in their functioning through clearing up bottlenecks and providing relevant information.
