Conversations around making CSR an integral part of corporate strategy were held at Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada on March 18. Explaining the Canadian system, Prof Kernaghan (Founding Director, Institute for the Study of Corporate Social Responsibility, Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada)  explained that law encourages disclosure of existing practices, not compliance with new practices. Presenting the status of the new CSR law in India, Dr Rajesh Tandon (Founder Director, Society for Participatory Research In Asia, New Delhi, India) argued that CSR should not be treated as standalone activity (http://www.pria.org/uploaded_files/home/Toronto - March 2016.pdf), but economic, social and environmental concerns should become integrated as business strategy and practices in everyday life. Nearly 35 students, faculty, business leaders, NGOs and CSR consultants attended the seminar at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
