On March 18-19, 2024, UNESCO New Delhi and UNESCO Chair on Inclusive Museums and Sustainable Heritage Development, Prof Amareswar Galla, organized the first regional meeting of the UNESCO Chairs in South Asia at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, Bhubaneshwar. This meeting was attended by 14 UNESCO Chairs in the region based out of different institutions across India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. 
 
Dr. Pragya Chaube, India Coordinator, represented the UNESCO Chair in CBRSR. Over the course of two days, UNESCO New Delhi's Medium-Term strategy for 2022-2029, Programme and Budget for 2022-2025, Agenda 2030, and how UNESCO Chairs can help achieve these objectives were discussed. In addition, key priority areas for the region were identified for joint activities and collaboration.
