PRIA, an international centre for learning and promotion of participation and democratic governance, requires Secretaries
 
Job Description
 
- Secretarial
- Independent handling of day-to-day correspondence
- Arranging meetings/appointments
- Arranging travel and related facilities
- General coordination, internal and external
- Handling visitors/telephones/ mail
- Record management
 
Required
 
- Graduate in any discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Good command over English (and Hindi)
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in computers (Excel, Power Point, Word, Internet)
 
Initial appointment on contract for 1-2 years; compensation commensurate with qualifications/experience.

Programme Officers
 
We are looking for :
 
Professionals with 1-5 years of experience with a proven track record to work on issues related to Panchayati Raj Insitutions, Urban Governance, Social Audit, Right to Information, Knowledge Management, Civil Society Building.
 
(A) PRIs -The candidates should have minimum Masters degree in Social Sciences with 1-5 years’ experience in the development field with focus on issues related to Panchayati Raj Institutions and social audit.
 
(B) Urban Governance - The candidates should have basic understanding of municipal governance and urban issues with specific reference to town planning, solid waste management etc. Should have a good understanding on issues of urban poor and other marginalized groups. Ability to interact and communicate with various urban stakeholders – Government, councilors, donors, academia and the community is integral part of the job. Minimum Masters degree in urban planning or related discipline with 2-3 years’ hands on relevant experience.
 
(C) Civil Society Building -The candidates should have minimum Masters degree in Social Sciences with 3-5 years’ experience in the development field with focus on issues related to civil society building.
 
(D) Right to Information- Applicants should have minimum Masters degree in Social Sciences. A degree in law would be an added advantage. A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience on the issue of working on Right to Information is must.
 
(E) Knowledge Management -The candidates should have minimum Masters degree in Social Sciences with 1-3 years’ experience in the development field. The person would be responsible for managing PRIA’s knowledge resource, reviewing materials under themes of PRIA and systematizing them. Proficiency in English and Hindi is must  for this position
 
(F) Engagement with Private Sector- Applicants should have professional qualifications in related field, a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in dealing with private sector. Experience in a development organisation in similar position would be an added advantage.
 
Competency in managing projects is essential for all positions. Knowledge of computer and excellent communication skills are essential.
 
All the positions are contractual. Compensation commensurate with the best in the sector.
