Why the need for this course?
|
|
The development of Adult Education Programmes is a necessary criteria which needs to be well charted out so that the success of the programmes can be achieved. The purposes of creating a well defined programme may be due to various reasons like encouraging ongoing growth and development of individuals, assisting people in responding to practical problems and issues of adult life, preparing people for current and future work oppurtunities, helping organisations in achieving desired results and adapting to change and providing oppurtunities to examine and foster community and societal change. This course will explore essential steps in determining programme aims, goals and objectives of adult education programmes. It will also provide a brief description about the instructional techniques, resources and modes of communication by highlighting adult education programmes from select Asian countries.

| Admission procedure |
|
Eligibility : The minimum qualification is a higher secondary (Class 12) certificate and the medium of instruction is English.
|
|
Mode of delivery : TThe mode of delivery would be through an online mechanism where the course material and required readings would be uploaded online. An open forum would also be provided for interaction with the facilitator and the learners.
|
|
Duration : This Appreciation Course will run for ten weeks consisting of four modules. It will require a minimum of 16 study-hours.
|
|
Assignment : After the student finishes reading the material, s/he would attempt an objective type evaluation assessment on the concepts covered in the modules. |
|
Course fee :The course fee is Rs.3000/- (excluding bank charges) for applicants in India, Rs. 4000/- (INR) (excluding bank charges) for South Asian applicants or 100 US$ (excluding bank charges) for applicants outside India. Scholarships are available to applicants from India and South Asia.

Payment of fee : The fee is to be paid in Demand Draft drawn in favour of "PRIA EDUCATIONAL TRUST", payable at New Delhi. The fee can also be paid through Bank Transfer.
